Personally Selected. Passionate. Purpose-Driven.
At A Village Learning Center, I believe that who teaches your child matters just as much as how they’re taught. That’s why every member of our team has been personally selected—not just for their credentials, but for their heart, commitment, and passion for helping students succeed.
Each educator brings something unique to our village, and together, we share a common mission:
To create a nurturing, personalized learning experience where every child feels seen, supported, and capable of thriving.
Whether they specialize in early literacy, math support, or executive functioning skills, our team members embody the same core values that inspired me to create this center. I’m proud to work alongside these talented professionals—and I’m excited for you to get to know them, too.

Hi, I’m Amy
Licensed Teacher Specializing in Grades K–3
I bring 20 years of teaching experience with me. My educational journey has taken me through many classrooms; 1st grade, 4th grade, and kindergarten. I have taught in both Ohio and California.
Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for helping young students succeed academically as well as instilling in them a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Outside of the classroom, I’m an avid reader, a mother to 10 children, and foster dogs.
I am looking forward to working with you and your student.

Hi, I’m Muaath
Licensed Teacher Specializing in Grades 4-8
I graduated from OSU, but my passion for education began much earlier when my parents fueled a love of learning. They provided books on a diverse array of topics like astronomy and paleontology and encouraged me to tackle accelerated courses.
Currently, I am a junior high English teacher, and prior to this, I taught 4th grade as a classroom teacher, covering all subject areas. My experience across different grade levels has deepened my understanding of how students learn and grow, allowing me to adapt my teaching to meet their unique needs.
My educational pursuits extend beyond the classroom; I teach self-defense classes at AMCC and strive to bring out the best in everyone I work with. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling, video games, and cherishing quality time with friends and family.
I’m excited to bring my diverse skills and experiences to work with you and your student.

Hi, I’m Austin
Supporting Students in K – 11th
I’m currently a senior at Saint John’s Jesuit High School. My zest for mathematics has led me outside of school to study Calculus at U.T. I’ve had the pleasure of tutoring many brilliant students, including children at St. Benedict’s School and even students on my own.
At home, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, and playing with my two cats. I also work part-time at Chipotle with my brother, which I find very rewarding. In my free time, I love to read fiction or allegorical novels, and my favorite food is Teriyaki Chicken. I also play basketball every weekend for fun, and math is my favorite subject in school. Fun fact: when straightened properly, my hair can reach below my waist!
I’m excited to be a part of the team at A Village Learning Center and can’t wait to meet and work with the awesome students here.

Hi, I’m Jaye

I’m excited to join the team at A Village Learning Center as a tutor. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities while discovering a genuine love for learning. With my background as a teacher, I focus on creating an engaging and supportive environment tailored to each student’s unique needs, empowering them to grow academically and personally. I’m a licensed teacher, currently teaching junior high. My teaching experience ranges from K-8th grades.
Outside of work, I’m a proud husband and father to two amazing kids, Ire and Ileri. In my free time, I enjoy watching soccer, caring for our family’s pet leopard gecko, and savoring my favorite meal, chicken alfredo. My goal is to help every student I work with achieve their full potential by developing strong study habits, sharpening their skills, and fostering a growth mindset. I look forward to partnering with you and your child on this exciting educational journey!

Hi, I’m Katie
Licensed Intervention Specialist Working with Grades 1-5
I’m thrilled to be joining the team at A Village Learning Center. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and have spent the last eight years as an intervention specialist, working with students from 1st through 8th grade. I’m passionate about teaching and believe that every child is capable of learning when provided with the right support and encouragement. My goal is to create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our two small dogs, Abby and Stevie. I enjoy exploring local metroparks, traveling (even though I haven’t yet been outside the U.S.), and indulging in my favorite treat—Reese’s peanut butter cups. Summer is my favorite season, and I also love watching shows like Outlander. I’m looking forward to connecting with students and families as we work together to create a positive and rewarding learning experience!
